RECEPTOR STATUS OF BREAST CANCER IN PATIENTS WITH DIFFERENT DEGREES OF GENETIC PREDISPOSITION TO CANCER

Pronyakov V.I.

The paper reports findings of a comparative analysis of immunohistochemical assessment of the receptor status steroid hormone receptors and Неr2/neu expression in 95 breast cancer patients with different degrees of genetic predisposition to cancer. It is established that patients with a high degree of genetic predisposition to breast cancer (a genetic component of 85.0%), as compared with the groups of patients with a lower genetic predisposition to breast cancer (a genetic component of 29.7%), more frequently feature a negative estrogen receptor status of breast neoplasms (58.3% vs 34.1% respectively), as well as a positive response to Неr2/neu (58.3% vs 26.2%). These findings are preliminary and need further investigation in order to decide on the treatment tactics and patient management.
