IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL DETECTION OF THE EXPRESSION OF P53, Р21WAF1/CIP1, Р16INK4A , AND КІ‑67 IN EPITHELIAL CELLS OF PATIENTS WITH GLANDULAR AND ATYPICAL ENDOMETRIAL HYPERPLASIA

On the material of uterus mucosa scrapes and surgery material from patients with glandular and atypical endometrial hyperplasia, the expression levels of a number of protein, including Кі-67, р53, р21WAF1/CIP1, and р16INK4a were analyzed. The findings of this analysis suggest that cells of hyperplastic endometrium feature a high proliferative activity, negative р53 expression, and mainly negative expression of р21WAF1/CIP1. At the same time, р16INK4a features hyperexpression in patients with glandular and atypical endometrial hyperplasia. The expression levels of р53, р21WAF1/CIP1, р16INK4a, and Кі- 67, along with morphological characteristics, can be used as criteria to define the proliferative capacity in endometrial hyperplasia.
