INTRA-ARTERIAL REGIONAL POLYCHEMOTHERAPY IN COMBINED TREATMENT OF MEDIASTINAL MALIGNANCIES

In line with the task assigned, a method was developed for catheterization of internal thoracic artery, and the polychemotherapy schemes were adapted with account for the histological patter of the tumor. Clear indications weredefinedregarding theuseof intra-arterial polychemotherapy. Methods are developed to minimize, prevent, and treat complications. One hundred and sixty seven patients with mediastinal neoplasms received treatment. This method helped increase respectability of tumors to a considerable extent.
