Using semiquantitative immunohistochemistry the level of expression and autophosphorylation of protein kinase D2 (PKD2) was evaluated in diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (DLBCL). The heterogeneity of DLBCL in expression, intracellular localization, and autophosphorylation of PKD2 was demonstrated. According to the character of PKD2 expression and autophosphorylation DLBCL were separated into three groups, which have different level of tumor cell differentiation. DLBCL with lower level of cell differentiation were characterized by low level of PKD2 expression and autophosphorylation, while cases with high level of differentiation (IFR-4 positive and Bcl-6 negative) showed the high level of PKD2 expression and autophosphorylation.
