TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH MALIGNANCIES OF VARIOUS LOCALIZATIONS SPREAD INTO THE LUNGS

The paper analyzes the 3- and 5-year survival rates after surgery and combined treatment of 231 patients with metastatic dissemination into the lungs. The choice of the treatment technique applied in patients with lung metastases depends on the localization and histological structure of the primary tumor, specifics of the treatment applied earlier, its efficacy, time when metastases were revealed, their number, and anatomic localization in the lungs. Evidences are provided showing that surgery treatment is an appropriate tactics in case of lung metastases of variously localized tumors.
