RESULTS OF APPLICATION INTRAPLEURAL PERFUSION CHEMOHYPERTHERMY IN THE TREATMENT OF MALIGNANT PLEURAL MESOTHELIOMA

Common results of treatment of the malignant pleural mesothelioma by the intrapleural perfusion chemohyperthermy were analyzed. Median of survival was 20.5 months in study group (30 patients), in control group(51 patients)— 10.7 months. Oneyearsurvivalwere 82.42% and 44.55% respectively. Multivariant analysis results. Intrapleural chemohyperthermy without surgery was more effective then chemotherapy alone – annual survival 81.25% and median of survival 20.5 months vs 40.31% and 10.3 months respectively. Intrapleural perfusion chemohyperthermy as adjuvant treatment after cytoreductive surgery of thepatientswithmalignantpleural mesothelioma shown significant growths of oneyear survival (83.24% vs 58.78% in control group) andmedian of survival (18.9 months vs 12.5 months).
