The data on the background and recent developments in laboratory diagnosis of oncogematological diseases in children in Ukraine have been presented. The categorization of different forms of leukemias, malignant lymphomasandsolidtumorshasundergoneanevolution. The combined approach applying morphocytochemical and genetic methods, immunophenotyping facilitate more precise diagnosis of well-defined disease entities.
