APPROACHES TO TREAT GIANT-CELL TUMOR IN THE BONES OF PELVIC GIRDLE

Findings of treatment of 25 patients with giant­cell tumor of the bones of pelvic girdle are discussed. Fourteen patients were exposed to pre­ surgery intraarterial polychemotherapy (IAPCT). In the remaining 11 patients, IAPCT was applied in combination with radiation therapy. Promising results of these approaches give grounds to improving the methods for treating this nosologic form further.
