Outcomes are analyzed of the application of selective intra-arterial polychemotherapy (SIAPCT) (using neoadjuvantandpalliative schedules of a treatment technology developed in the Donetsk Oblast Anti-tumor Centre) in breast cancer (BC) patients. It is shown that this treatment is equally efficient in both patients with primary non-operable BC and patients with local/ regional relapses and metastases. Immediate and remote clinical results of SIAPCTwerethebestincases where the internal thoracic artery system was applied. To the extent that the treatment protocol is strictly observed, the long- term (6 month) presence of the catheter in the arterial bed does not lead to serious complications. Application of the neoadjuvant schedule of SIAPCT allows to include most patients with disseminated BC into the group of operable. Application of the palliative schedule makes it possible to prescribe radical combined treatment of recurrent and metastasizing BC to a wider population of patients.
