We analyzed results of reconstructive-restorative treatment of 98 patients for locally spread malignant new growths of oropharyngeal area. The main group (52 patients) received oropharyngeal plastic surgery by auto-transplantation of vascularized tissue complexes. The check group (46 patients) — received treatment by local tatters, migrating stem, skin flap on a vivifying stem. Both groups of patients were comparable by age, sex, existing concomitant pathology, conducted neoadjuvant therapy, extent of radical surgery. The results obtained in the main group showed reduced frequency of necrotic complications of plastic material, a significant improvement in the results of the swallowing restoration, chewing, language function, cosmetic effect. Application of vascularized tissue complexes for reconstructive-restorative treatmentoforopharyngealdefects contributedsignificantlytoimprovingthelifequalityofpatients who received extensive resection of oral cavity and pharynx.
