High dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cells transplantation is an inportant therapeutic modality for the patients with oncological disorders. Since stem cells contamination by tumor cells might contribute to relapse, development of tumor cells purging technique could improve the clinical outcome. Here, we describe the first experience in Ukraine of selection using magnetic-activated cells sorting system (CliniMACS) and transplantation of purified autologous CD34+ fraction of hematopoietic cells following high dose chemotherapy.
