EFFECT OF NEOADJUVANT CHEMOTHERAPY ON THE OUTCOME OF SURGERY IN PATIENTS WITH OVARIAN MALIGNANCIES TUMORS

The article presents the analysis of complex treatment of 857 patients with advanced ovarian malig- nancies tumours (OMT) who received neoadjuvant thera- pyonfirst stage of the treatment. Neoadjuvantchemother- apy allows improving resectability of tumors and increases frequency of cytoreductions, improves objective status and life quality of patients with OMT. The analysis of over- all 5-year survival of patients with OMT was found to be 17.1%. Residual tumor size after intermediate cytoreduc- tive operation is the most significant predictive factor affecting survival of patients with advanced OMT.
